Nakul is a passionate educator. Over the course of his teaching career, he has mentored hundreds of students. Nakul is currently a lecturer at San Diego State University, advising students on performance, improvisation, composition, and technology. Nakul has a 99 percent positive feedback rating on ratemyprofessors.com. Nakul is the creator of midimaze, and is co-creator of Bitwise Music, two music theory webstes which have educational aims.

Nakul also maintains a private piano studio of over 25 students of all ages and experience levels. He is a MTAC (Music Teacher’s Association of California) member, and has an almost a 100 percent pass rate for students who have attempted the piano exam. His students have cumulatively amassed over 100 certificates of merit so far.
